Sarah and Blake are two true foodies and a super laid back couple, so they didn’t want a traditional wedding reception in a fancy venue, they opted for a more casual dining experience at the renowned restaurant cafe Three Blue Ducks in Rosebery. For their wedding styling concept, we transformed this rustic warehouse setting into a beautiful wedding venue with lush green foliage to suit that outdoor garden vibe.
While a delicious menu is the focal point of this wedding, we wanted to make sure the visuals were also made to match. Three long rows of king tables arranged closely together creates a sense of intimacy among guests. Running along the tables are thick crowning table centrepieces of lush green artificial foliage with cascading vines – a plant lover’s dream.
Keeping it minimalist, we set a runner of dinner candles along the tables with a warm glow. Overhead were more incandescent lighting from festoon lights draped between the centrepieces and creating a beautifully romantic ambience for the night.
There were so many features of the restaurant venue we loved in itself embedded with all these gorgeous industrial features; the white washed brick walls, picture windows, wooden ceiling frames. It really gave off the earthy, woody and organic feeling that Three Blue Ducks boasts of in their food selection. Converting this restaurant cafe into a wedding experience was a fun task.
We wanted to maintain some of its interior features in the design, using the wooden chairs of the restaurant for this rustic appeal. The wooden caged rattan chandeliers of the venue also seemed to fit perfectly with our design. This is a great example of how we can convert any space into a dream wedding venue.
