We decked out Arianne and Phil’s wedding marquee extension in the beautiful Centennial Parklands into a casual lounge and stylish cocktail style space.
This entire wedding design is very different to our usual banquet and table arrangements. Instead we wanted to create something cosy where everyone can sit down, be comfortable and socialise in an intimate setting. We furnished the space with mismatched lounges, chairs and coffee tables to create that hip and unconventional vibe. Guests could relax and chill with a drink in hand.
The marquee was filled with sweeping green foliages and the ceiling canopy drooping in textured layers. It was an incredibly immersive experience walking in to see low hanging chandeliers and greenery that was so visually stimulating. This helped us achieve that intimacy we desired.
The most incredible feature of this wedding marquee setup (besides everything) was the picturesque bridal lounge beautifully shrouded in lush greenery, elegant artificial white roses and deep red orchids. The hanging empty wooden picture frames made this overall look rustic and easily the most instagrammable spot.
Other quaint little features we loved were the variety of chandeliers and lanterns that gave the setting a Bohemian feel. The lighting effect was exquisite and created a warm and romantic ambience, especially with the addition of the tall pillar candles along the floors.
This is definitely not like our usual, and that’s what we adore about it. It gave all the guests a chance to mingle in a more laid back setting. We’d love to create more intimate cocktail styled spaces just like this one.
