Styling a quaint and intimate wedding space to simplicity and sheer elegance
Simple and understated touches make this wedding at the historic Sergeant’s Mess a beautifully intimate occasion. The wedding styling concept for Alana and Andy’s special day was to add elegant and delicate touches to the venue to create a warm and romantic ambience.
We knew this was a simple enough task for us, but of course we wanted to ensure that there was unique detailing that spoke to Alana and Andy’s personalities. The crystal candelabras and other crystal touches are classy and sophisticated just like this pair, providing warm and ambient lighting.
On alternating tables were gorgeous floral centrepieces filled with fresh wedding flowers including white roses, anemones and daisies. A fragrant scent filled the room and left a lasting freshness through the entire space.
Sergeants Mess is situated in a waterfront location overlooking the spectacular views of Chowder Bay. The glamorous interior makes for an intimate space, with its own private wharf.
Of all the details, our favourite for this wedding styling is the golden finishes. This was the perfect occasion for us to bring out our antique looking golden charger plates and cutlery, fit for royalty. Combined with the crystal features, gold makes a bold statement of class and sophistication. This entire event set up was low key and understated, yet brilliant all at once. We loved being a part of Alana and Andy’s intimate wedding.
