ANNA WANG is Sydney’s premiere designer of beautiful spaces, and we covers a wide range of services within the hospitality and events industry, from being your wedding planner, event organiser of your corporate function, interior space designer, floral stylist or even event coordinator.
Anna’s story in the wedding and events industry didn’t start as a passion for it, instead she started her professional creative career in advertising world where she was the creative conduit between Saatchi & Saatchi and it’s corporate customers. Often conceptualising the creatives and campaigns but mostly only oversaw rather than be hands on.
It was only after best friend’s wedding that she was brought into the world of weddings and floristry. So you could say she was “dropped in” out of a need to help her friend’s DIY wedding. That was years ago.
Having a taste for fulfilling dreams and being hands on with creatives, she pursued the world of love, relationships and celebrations.
It was Anna’s first small business, launched around 2007 and located in Liverpool NSW – it was called O’My Gosh.
The very first of it’s kind in the wedding industry as one-stop-shop wedding planning retail where she had literally everything under the sun that’s wedding related, where couples would come in to choose their wedding dress, bridesmaids gowns, suit hires, reception decorations and flowers, jewellery and other trinkets.
Humbly small and simple in it’s offering but it provided the teachings of running a business and the wedding industry Anna, and then Bailey when he joined in 2009.
We eventually took a break when Anna became pregnant with Katana Wang, and Bailey continued with WeddingSoulStory – wedding photography studio that brought Anna and Bailey together.
Rather than bring back the retail business O’My Gosh and do everything related to weddings like we used to, we thought it best to start small again, and that way we’d get to balance work-life-kids.
So the name ANNA WANG was chosen as a bespoke wedding stylist & design studio that would be a creative outlet for Anna. Why use her name? Because it was similar to an already luxurious brand, Vera Wang, so it’d be silly for us to not leverage it! To this day couples think we’re related!
We are creatives and perfectionists that create the brief for your event, design the visuals and styling elements, and take it from planning to execution. We achieve this by designing, planning, and executingeverything inhouse – that way it is as we imagined with you.
